MADDY WENIG AS REGINA GEORGE IN MEAN GIRLS

Hey, what’s up?

Welcome to my website! I’m Maddy Wenig, a New York-based performer.

I’m a tall, unapologetic performer with a rock n’ roll flair. I love playing fearless, funny, and feisty women who challenge the status quo.

Recent credits include Regina George in Mean Girls, Queenie in Lippa’s The Wild Party, Amelia Earhart in Maltby & Shire’s Take Flight, and Lead Rock Vocalist in Syd Norman’s Pour House on NCL.

  • "Wenig’s voice is a stunner, like the bronze flow of smooth jazz played on alto sax."

    (Regina George in Mean Girls)

    - Bay Area Reporter

  • "Maddy Wenig plays and sings the role with such consistent wit and bitchery throughout the bulk of the show that her goofball, neck-braced eleventh-hour transformation feels surprisingly funny, despite being an unearned non-sequitur plot-wise."

    (Regina George in Mean Girls)

    - Bay Area Reporter

  • "Maddy Wenig [who] single-handedly owns the show."

    (Regina George in Mean Girls)

    -48 Hills

  • "Whenever Maddy Wenig’s Regina strides with bold steps on the stage in her six-inch pumps and with cocky air of total, ‘queen-bee’ dominance, all eyes — those on the stage and those in the audience — immediately notice. But it is when Regina sings that all jaws drop. Maddy Wenig’s vocal clarity and power along with a commanding stage presence wow us all as her Regina electrifies the air in numbers like “Someone Gets Hurt” and “World Burn.”

    - Theater Eddys

  • "Maddy Wenig’s Regina George supplies the necessary steel. She understands that Regina’s power lies in control, not volume, and her restraint makes the character all the more effective."

    - Stage and Cinema

  • "As Regina, Maddy Wenig swaggers her way through every scene. She's the perfect embodiment of the girl you love to hate."
